MOISTURE TESTER FOR THE RAPID DETERMINATION OF POWDER HUMIDITY:

Suitable for determining the percentage of humidity in fine-ground materials

used in the ceramic, cement, crushing mill and fodder industries, as well as

in road building, foundries and every production process where materials

are required to be ground to very small grain sizes. The operating principle

is based on the reaction that takes place between water and processed

calcium carbide (with which these instruments work) to generate acetylene

gas. This generates a pressure that is proportional to the water content

inside the re-action chamber of the instrument which is then read in

percentage terms on the gauge connected to the reaction chamber.

N.B.: this kind of instrument should preferably be used with humidity

contents of at least 3-4% SLC1032/1: SPEEDY" model, standard D2 type, portable. Aluminium body,

fork plug with aluminium cup. Uses refined calcium carbide packed in tins

or phials. Scale 0+20%, division 0.2%, complete with scales, elegant case,
